Brentor church Dartmoor, Devon Photography Locations #9

Brentor church lies on the stunning Dartmoor National park area of Devon, not far from Tavistock, it lies at grid reference SX470804

Brent tor church, is one of the highest altitude churches in England at 330m above sea level, and sits on top of an old sub sea volcanic eruption, that has created an epic composition allowing you to shoot along the ridge line towards the church.

Brent tor church dates to the 13th century and is highly worth a visit, the area can get a little windy but the views are spectacular.

The classic shot involves shooting across the ridgeline towards Brentor church, which will give you sweeping views across to the right of the frame.

Good for: Unique composition involving the church and ridge line, great for panoramic shots, peaceful location, just a great place to visit with its unique ridgeline

Difficulty: 10min medium walk from the tiny carpark for the church which is very easy to find and is signposted.

The carpark is approx 5 mins from Tavistock or 45 mins from Bovey Tracey by car, you will see the church before the carpark, the carpark is just beside the road tucked around the back of the road, by the entrance to the church

Location: From the carpark walk across the road to Brentor church, walk up the hill and your there, the hill can be a little steep but it has a good path.
